Haynes and Boone, LLP is please to support the Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA)'s 55th Annual Congress being held in Miami this Fall. The UIA was created in 1927 by a group of European lawyers convinced of the need for lawyers to establish international contacts. Today, the UIA is an association open to all lawyers of the world, made up of both general and specialist practitioners, counting more than 200 bar associations, organisations or federations (representing nearly two million lawyers) as well as several thousand individual members from over 110 countries.
The annual congress is the UIA's flagship event, addressed by prominent speakers and drawing the participation of over 1,000 lawyers from more than 70 countries around the world. UIA congresses are open to all UIA members, as well as non-members, with preferential rates for early registrations, young lawyers, participants from emerging countries and all UIA members.
