Webinar: How to Navigate the Trump Administration's Recent Enforcement on DEI - March 6

February 17, 2025

Employers must navigate what the recent Trump executive order and memoranda from Attorney General Pam Bondi regarding DEI programs mean for their responsibilities and current programs. The Bondi Feb. 5 memorandum advises that the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division will be taking efforts to “investigate, eliminate, and penalize illegal DEI and DEIA preferences, mandates, policies, programs, and activities” in the private sector (and educational institutions).

According to that memorandum, the Civil Rights Division and the Office of Legal Policy shall jointly submit to the associate attorney general a report containing recommendations for enforcement actions and other measures “to encourage the private sector to end illegal discrimination and preferences” by March 1, 2025.

Join Haynes Boone for a discussion on the upcoming March 1 recommendations. Partner Matthew Deffebach will moderate a panel featuring Partners Sharon Jones, Laura O’Donnell and Adam Sencenbaugh, who will share their knowledge on these issues and explore what the new administration will mean for private sector employers and federal contractors.
