Alfredo Amoedo
Alfredo Amoedo is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group in Haynes and Boone’s San Francisco office.
His practice focuses on commercial and employment litigation, and includes assisting domestic and foreign clients at all stages of litigation, from pre-suit demands through trial. Alfredo has handled litigation matters involving intellectual property, securities, unfair competition, employment, and consumer fraud issues. He has also guided clients on business and regulatory issues, particularly to assess, manage, and reduce future litigation risks or adverse impacts on existing matters. He has also coordinated the defense of foreign class action lawsuits—including actions in Argentina, Canada, and Israel.

- Dumond v. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC et al., No. 19-cv-14723 (D.N.J.) (obtained voluntary dismissal of auto-defect class action after pleading attacks were fully briefed and pending decision from the court).
- Gonzalez v. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC et al., No. 18-cv-20048 (S.D. Fla.) (obtained voluntary dismissal of TCPA class action).
- McGee v. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC et al., No. 19-cv-513 (S.D. Cal.) (obtained summary judgment ruling in favor of defendant in economic loss auto-defect action).
- Oppenheim v. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC et al., No. 18-cv-03610 (N.D. Cal.) (obtained voluntary dismissal of auto-defect class action after pleading attacks were fully briefed and pending decision from the court);
- Sayler v. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC et al., No. 18-cv-01271 (N.D. Ohio) (obtained pre-pleading attack dismissal because of defense strategy in first-filed Oppenheim action).
- Pro bono representation of two unaccompanied minors in immigration proceedings.

A team of California litigators from Haynes and Boone, LLP earned a complete defense verdict after a two-week jury trial in the Central District of California on March 22 for Black Gold Farms, a respected, family-run farming operation.
