Rob Atras focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, reorganizations, and capital markets transactions. He represents private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies as well as strategic buyers and sellers across a range of industries. Rob frequently works across practice groups to solve regulatory and specialized issues for his clients.

In addition to corporate matters, Rob maintains a robust pro bono practice. He regularly works with refugees seeking asylum in the United States. Rob also counseled a national non-profit organization on legal issues and has provided local pro bono representation in the fields of probate, landlord/tenant, and criminal law.

  • Represented Valesco Fund II in its majority buyout (and related acquisition financing) of BARRIER1 SYSTEMS, INC., a leading designer, manufacturer, installer, and servicer of proprietary vehicle barrier systems and security solutions to high profile government and commercial clients.

  • Represented PalletOne, Inc. in its $232 million acquisition by UFP Industries, LLC, a holding company whose subsidiaries supply wood, wood composite and other products to the retail, construction and industrial markets.

  • Represented a leading infrastructure construction and materials company in a divisional sale of its asphalt production business.

  • Represented Hyla Mobile, Inc. in its acquisition by Assurant, Inc. in a $325 million deal.

  • Represented OutMatch Holdings, LLC, a leading talent intelligence platform, which enables companies to recruit, hire and develop employees, in its sale to Rubicon Technology Partners.

  • Represented the franchisor and manufacturer of customizable shelving and storage solutions in the equity sale of its subsidiary companies to the largest home services franchisor in the world.
