Natalia Alvarez is an associate in the International Practice Group in the Mexico City office of Haynes and Boone. Natalia has a general corporate and commercial practice with experience advising domestic and international clients in the mergers and acquisitions, real estate and transactional areas, including cross-border aspects. She has expertise in asset and stock acquisitions, complex due diligence processes, drafting commercial contracts, advising in the incorporation of companies, implementation of corporate governance, and foreign investment issues.
Natalia has also had exposure to a wide variety of financial transactions advising banking institutions in the structuring of loan transactions, preparing loan agreements and their corresponding collateral such as mortgages, pledges and trusts. Natalia has participated in project financing in the tourism and real estate areas, including industrial parks, and shopping malls.
Natalia has experience in regulatory aspects of energy projects in Mexico, advising international and domestic companies during their participation in the public bids of E&P contracts with the Mexican government and also negotiating transactions with Pemex, including CIEP migrations.
Natalia has also been involved in conducting internal investigations and due diligence research on regulatory compliance issues.
