Linda R. Herman
Linda Herman has acted as a trusted counselor in both office and retail leasing transactions, in representation of both landlords and tenants. Linda prides herself on understanding her clients’ needs in their varied leasing transactions, whether such clients are large experienced developers, major corporate tenants or tenants entering into lease transactions for the first time.
During her career, Linda has led teams in undertaking major leasing projects, including representation of the MTA in the initial lease-up of the retail space at Grand Central Terminal and their ongoing leasing program. This included her tireless representation of the MTA in concluding a complex lease transaction with a major technology company to lease mezzanine space at Grand Central Terminal. More recently, Linda and her team represented the owner of a Madison Avenue office/retail building in the lease-up of the entire building upon the expiration of an underlying ground lease. Linda also works closely with companies in their corporate facility leasing programs, including seeking to ensure that their leases do not interfere with the companies’ flexibility in undertaking corporate transactions. She also has advised companies in connection with their initial forays into the world of New York City retail leasing and its attendant complexities.
Linda’s skill is the result of her broad experience in all areas of real estate practice for more than 30 years and her representation of varied clients. She is trusted by her clients to efficiently and expeditiously negotiate and complete lease transactions. Linda is well-recognized in the leasing community and has been a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers for many years. She has also participated in the conducting of educational leasing programs offered by the American Bar Association.
