Kyle Howard helps technology companies obtain and protect their innovations under patent law. Based on his experience, Kyle represents clients in a variety of technical fields, including telecommunications, semiconductor processing, and medical devices. Kyle focuses his practice on post-grant proceedings before the USPTO, including ex parte reexamination and inter partes review proceedings. He has served as counsel in numerous inter partes review proceedings, and has hands-on experience with every stage of trial.
A number of these inter partes review proceedings are related to concurrent litigation. As a result, Kyle provides invaluable experience in developing defensive strategies in the concurrent litigation. Kyle also helps clients design and develop products that avoid infringement of competitor patents.
Prior to joining Haynes and Boone, Kyle worked for a major telecommunications company and managed a worldwide team dedicated to the design and management of an IP centric data network for large customers of the company.
