Angela Kwok


Angela Kwok focuses her practice on general corporate and commercial matters, especially focusing on venture capital financing, fund formation, startups, mergers and acquisitions and related tax matters.


Being fluent in both English and Chinese, Angela has been able to help U.S. and P.R.C. companies successfully partner together through cross border transactions, joint ventures and other forms of partnerships.


Angela also serves clients in the blockchain industry. She is the co-author of the book, “Security Tokens and Stablecoins Quick Start Guide,” which is a beginner’s guide to security token offerings, stablecoins, U.S. securities laws, and building a compliant security token for decentralized application. Angela wrote the section that provided an overview of U.S. securities laws.


Angela has extensive legal, securities regulation, compliance and tax experiences. She previously was a lawyer with the Royse Law Firm, and an international law firm, advising startups and founders on business structures, entity formations and VC financings. Before that, she was an in-house legal counsel at a VC fund, managing legal matters with respect to various stages of funds and their investment portfolios in the high tech sector in both P.R.C. and U.S. markets.


Angela also has experience working at the Big Four accounting firm, where she focused on U.S. tax consulting. She had also worked with international investment banks and other financial institutions providing legal, financial, regulatory and tax advice.
