Kourtney P. Lyda

Kourtney Lyda is in the Restructuring Practice Group of Haynes and Boone. Kourtney has spent her career representing debtors, secured creditors, unsecured creditors, administrative agents, lessors, asset purchasers, and other parties in complex matters and advising corporate clients in their business dealings with financially distressed counterparties. Her experience includes the representation of Chapter 11 and 15 debtors, as well as other parties-in-interest in a variety of business restructuring matters.

Kourtney handles both in-court and out-of-court restructurings for clients in a variety of industries, including aviation, commodities, E&P, gas storage facilities, oilfield services, pharmaceuticals, franchised restaurants, and utilities. In particular, Kourtney has handled many aviation restructuring matters and serves as trusted counsel for
her aviation clients.

Kourtney looks for practical solutions to complex financial problems by working diligently to understand her clients’ businesses and needs and to align her efforts on their behalf accordingly. Her clients appreciate Kourtney’s responsiveness and willingness to solve problems by working with them to identify and address issues as they arise.
