Joseph T. Morrey is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Richardson office of Haynes and Boone. His practice focuses on patent drafting and prosecution. Joseph has experience preparing U.S. and foreign non-provisional, provisional, and design patent applications in mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical technology areas. He has also prosecuted patent applications before the USPTO.

Prior to joining the firm, Joseph was a mechanical engineer at a aerospace and defense company where he participated in material selection, design analyses, FEA processes, statistical analyses, prototyping, and production testing to validate new designs of products and manufacturing equipment for full scale production. He also worked as a civil engineer in the United States Air Force, conducting studies on the needs for roads, airfields, buildings, and other facilities. In 2015, Joseph was second-in-command of a team of 35 Airmen that deployed to Latvia as part of a U.S. European Command humanitarian mission to rebuild and renovate an orphanage in Latvia.
