Peyton Meyer is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group who focuses her practice in preparing and prosecuting patent applications. She is experienced in innovations in mechanical and medical technology. Peyton’s practice also includes design patent applications and general IP counseling.
Before joining the firm, Peyton worked as a research assistant in a medical physics laboratory looking at ultrasonic backscatter techniques in order to detect changes in bone density. She also interned in a cellular biology and anatomy lab looking at pharmacological modulation of osteocyte cell survival. After gaining experience in scientific research, she decided to pursue her passion of science through a different outlet—patent law. During her time in law school, Peyton interned at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the illumination division, as part of their Summer Patent Experience Externship Program.
