Brittany is an associate in the Litigation and Insurance Recovery Practice Groups in the firm’s San Francisco and Orange County offices. She represents policyholders in a wide variety of complex insurance coverage matters, helping corporations recover funds under a variety of insurance products, including policies covering Directors and Officers (D&O), Commercial General Liability (CGL), Bankers Professional Liability (BPL), and Property Damage and Business Interruption. She is also committed to pro bono work, recently securing hundreds of thousands of dollars in coverage for her clients in a health insurance dispute. In addition to her insurance coverage practice, Brittany also has litigated intellectual property, business, and employment claims.

Brittany’s experience has led to her recognition as a Rising Star by Northern California Super Lawyers, Thomson Reuters, 2022-2023.

Brittany received her J.D. from the University of California Davis School of Law, where she served as a member of the Moot Court Honors Board and as a Teacher’s Assistant for first-year students enrolled in a Legal Research and Writing course. She also worked as a Research Assistant; her work was incorporated into a published article (See Shestowsky, D., Inside the mind of the client: An analysis of litigants’ decision criteria for choosing procedures, CONFLICT RESOLUTION QUARTERLY. 2018; 36: 69– 87.).

Prior to law school, Brittany attended Vassar College where she earned membership into the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology. She also led the women’s basketball team to its first ever Liberty League Championships and NCAA tournament appearances in her junior and senior years, during which time she became the school’s all-time leading scorer, earned All American honors, and was named Offensive Player of the Year/First Team All Liberty League. She still holds the record for most points scored in a single season.
