Gilbert A. Perales draws on his winsome and tenacious nature to assist individuals and businesses through all stages of litigation and dispute resolution, from drafting demand letters, to arguing trial and appellate briefs, to negotiating settlements. Gilbert has served clients as lead counsel in more than a dozen cases in Texas federal courts and successfully briefed arguments in state and federal appellate courts across the country.
As an associate in the Litigation Practice Group in the Houston office of Haynes and Boone, Gilbert’s practice focuses on energy litigation. But he also has broad experience representing clients in complex commercial and business litigation in state and federal courts, as well as representing clients in a variety of disputes in both domestic and international arbitrations. This experience spans a wide range of industries, including the manufacturing, consumer services, technology, health care, real estate, insurance, and construction sectors, and involved several class actions.
Gilbert believes strongly in helping those in need and engaging in his civic responsibilities. As part of this, Gilbert maintains an active pro bono practice, which includes helping past clients win asylum and permanent residency within the United States.
