Daniel Ueno is a patent agent in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the Orange County office. He has experience drafting and prosecuting U.S., PCT, and foreign patent applications in the fields of OLED/LCD displays, telecommunication systems and networks, optical devices, radar and RF systems, aerospace manufacturing, solid state devices, software, medical devices, analog/digital electronic circuits and amplifiers, digital signal processing, medical devices, nanotechnology processing and fabrication, and microfluidic devices.

Daniel is a Commander in the United States Navy Reserves and serves as a Research Liaison for the Office of Naval Research and Naval Research Laboratory. He was recalled to active duty in 2018 and deployed to Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa in Djibouti. Prior to becoming a patent agent, he served in the United States Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer where he managed the operation of 550-MW nuclear reactors aboard an aircraft carrier and deployed to the North Arabian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He also interned as a test engineer at Hughes Space & Communications, where he worked on satellites for XM Radio and NASA.

Daniel maintains an active U.S. government security clearance and has experience in preparing national security classified patent applications under the secrecy order.
