Haynes and Boone, LLP real estate lawyer Ann Saegert has been awarded the 2016 Distinguished Real Estate Attorney Lifetime Achievement Award by the Texas Bar Association's Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section in recognition of her "significant and sustained contributions to the Texas real estate law bar" throughout her career.
Among her many professional activities, Saegert has served as president of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, U.S. treasurer of the Anglo American Real Property Institute, chair of the Dallas Real Estate Council Associate Leadership Council, and as council member of the American Bar Association's Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section.
Saegert's long list of honors includes being named the 2014 Most Highly Regarded Individual by The International Who’s Who of Real Estate Lawyers. She also has been a finalist for Texas Lawyer's 2012 Go-To Guide, has been recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America by Woodward/White, Inc., for the last ten years, and as one of the Best Women Lawyers in Dallas by D Magazine.
Since 2004 Saegert has been named as one of the leading practitioners in Texas Real Estate by Chambers USA.
The Texas Bar Association's Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section was created in 1939 and is the second oldest section of the State Bar of Texas and is comprised of lawyers (as well as law students) who practice or have an interest in the fields of real estate, probate or trust law.
The largest section of the state bar with more than 8,800 members, its mission is to provide support to its members and other attorneys practicing real estate, probate or trust law in Texas.
Saegert, who began practicing at the firm in 1978 and served as chair of its Real Estate Section for seven years, was honored at the July 7 Advanced Real Estate Conference in San Antonio in ceremonies at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort.
