AmLaw 100 Ranking Highlights Haynes and Boone’s Steady Growth

Haynes and Boone, LLP has been listed in the prestigious AmLaw 100, American Lawyer magazine’s annual list of the top-grossing law firms for the year previous. Coming in at No. 94, Haynes and Boone improved its ranking for 2008, rejoining the AmLaw 100 after holding steady in the top of the AmLaw 200 since 2004.

“Haynes and Boone has always focused on conservative yet consistent growth,” said Managing Partner Terry Conner. “We stay well-positioned to ride out cyclical changes in business and economic environments by relying on the contributions of all our lawyers and by concentrating on the strength of our core markets.

“Obviously 2008 was a challenging year for law firms, but we have learned from every downturn. We have diversified practices and clients, and are honest with our lawyers and staff regarding economic challenges. When we make decisions based on the long-term best interests of the firm, we have always succeeded.”

The AmLaw 100 rankings, which also measure firms’ growth in headcount, revenue-per-lawyer and profits-per-partner, highlight Haynes and Boone’s steady growth over the past year. Haynes and Boone has evolved in areas across the firm, adding new strategic practice groups and partners in all offices. In early 2009, Haynes and Boone also joined forces with a leading California IP firm, MacPherson Kwok Chen and Heid, facilitating its entry into the California market with offices in San Jose and Orange County.

Haynes and Boone, LLP is an international corporate law firm with offices in Texas, New York, California, Washington, D.C., Mexico City and Moscow, providing a full spectrum of legal services. With almost 550 attorneys, Haynes and Boone is ranked among the largest law firms in the nation by The National Law Journal. The firm has been recognized as one of the "Best Corporate Law Firms in America" (Corporate Board Member Magazine, 2001-2008), as one of "The Best 20 Law Firms to Work For" (, 2008), and as a Top 100 law firm for both diversity (MultiCultural Law Magazine, 2009) and women (Women 3.0, 2008).
