Andrew Gallo Joins Haynes and Boone as Of Counsel

AUSTIN— Haynes and Boone LLP, a full-service corporate law firm, announced that A. Andrew Gallo, has joined its Austin office as Of Counsel.  Mr. Gallo is the latest addition to the Firm’s rapidly expanding Energy Practice Group.

With more than 15 years of experience in energy-related law as well as extensive environmental and regulatory experience, Mr. Gallo has recently represented clients such as BP America Production Company, Green Mountain Energy Company, BP Energy Company, Cotton Valley Operations, Inc. and HECI in various transactions, regulatory matters and litigation.

Mr. Gallo brings to Haynes and Boone 12 years of in-house experience working with major energy companies. This comes as a welcome addition to the more than 120 years of collective in-house legal, business and engineering experience that Haynes and Boone’s cross-sectional Energy/Power Practice Group provides to its clients. He served as in-house counsel for Amoco Corporation and BP Corporation, where he was involved in corporate legal transactions, regulatory/administrative law, environmental matters and litigation. Mr. Gallo handled many important cases for Amoco including class action suits and a multi-million dollar takings claim against the federal government. He also has broad international experience in the field of energy law, including practice in the United States and Norway and arbitrations involving properties in the United Arab Emirates and Colombia.

Mr. Gallo is a member of the Oil and Gas and Administrative law sections of the State Bar of Texas and is licensed to practice law in Texas and Missouri, as well as the Federal Courts in the Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Mr. Gallo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Hofstra University. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from The College of William and Mary, where he was admitted into the Order of the Coif and was awarded American Jurisprudence Book Awards for Trusts, Estates and Remedies.
