Arman Kuyumjian Arrives at Haynes and Boone New York

NEW YORK - Arman Kuyumjian, a lawyer with broad experience in mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, has joined the Haynes and Boone, LLP New York office as of counsel.

Kuyumjian advises both public and private companies and private equity funds in mergers and acquisitions transactions, including distressed and cross-border transactions. He also provides counsel regarding general corporate matters, including corporate governance issues, defensive measures and other strategic considerations. In addition, Kuyumjian advises investment banks in their capacity as financial advisers in public and private merger and acquisition transactions.

“The skills Arman brings to our New York merger and acquisition and private equity practices will significantly enhance the service we are able to provide our growing clientele in this sector,” said New York office Managing Partner Ken Bezozo. “We anticipate an increase in these practice areas in 2014, particularly in the middle market, so he is joining us at a very opportune time.”

Kuyumjian’s prior representations have included GE Capital, GE Aviation and GE Energy in multiple significant transactions, DIRECTV in its merger with Liberty Entertainment and several other transactions, and Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. in a broad range of distressed transactions.

Kuyumjian's previous legal experience includes work at a leading Canadian law firm where he represented public and private companies in connection with merger and acquisition transactions, as well as debt and equity securities offerings and general corporate matters.
He received his LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 1999 and his bachelor of commerce from McGill University in 1996.

The firm’s New York office, located at the iconic 30 Rockefeller center complex, is the most actively growing office of the firm’s 12 U.S. and international locations.
