WASHINGTON – Arthur A. Cohen, formerly of Skadden Arps, has joined Haynes and Boone, LLP as partner in its expanding Washington, D.C., office.

Mr. Cohen, an energy and infrastructure specialist, has more than 25 years of experience advising on projects in the U.S., Asia, Latin America and Europe. At Haynes and Boone, his practice will focus on both sponsors and lenders, as well as energy-related acquisition and disposition transactions.

Throughout his career, Mr. Cohen has been involved in several sectors, including power, infrastructure, sports facilities, and oil and gas. He recently represented KBC Bank on the restructuring and sale of the Wolf Hollow project in Texas, and owners of the Minnesota Vikings NFL franchise in connection with the project-financed acquisition of the team.

He also advised PPL Global on development and construction of its Shoreham and Edgewood power plants in Long Island, NY, and the sale of their output to the Long Island Power Authority.

Mr. Cohen, recently selected for inclusion in the 2006 edition of World's Leading Project Finance Lawyers, complements the growing profile of Haynes and Boone in Washington, where he joins Herb Glaser, head of the firm’s projects practice, in working to broaden its energy, finance and M&A portfolio.
