Associate, Arts Enthusiast Tiffany Ferris Graduates from Leadership Arts Institute

July 02, 2019
The North Texas Business Council for the Arts has recognized Haynes and Boone, LLP Associate Tiffany Ferris for successfully completing nine months of training at the Leadership Arts Institute, which prepared her to become part of the next generation of arts and cultural leaders in the region.

Members of the institute are selected annually from a field of applicants who seek to learn valuable skills in leadership, non-profit board best practices, and knowledge of critical needs of North Texas cultural organizations.

Graduates like Tiffany are business professionals who are trained to pursue board placement with area arts and cultural organizations. Based in Dallas, Tiffany is a trademark lawyer who helps her clients build, maintain, and promote their brands. Tiffany’s practice encompasses all areas of brand management and promotion, including representing clients before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and National Advertising Division (NAD), as well as providing counseling and guidance on brand selection, design and development of product packaging and labeling, and FDA and FTC compliance.

For her Leadership Arts Institute class project, Tiffany helped raise more than $20,000 for construction of a contemporary light and art installation in the new Café Momentum Service Center in the Dallas underground beneath Thanksgiving Square. The center serves at-risk youth who are employed by Café Momentum.

Notably, North Texas’ non-profit arts and cultural organizations contribute $1.5 billion annually to the region’s economy, making it the fifth largest regional arts economy in the U.S., according to Business Council for the Arts CEO Katherine Wagner.
