Jason Bloom Receives 40 Under 40 Award from Dallas Business Journal

Haynes and Boone, LLP proudly congratulates Partner Jason Bloom, who has been named a recipient of the Dallas Business Journal’s 2017 40 Under 40 Award.

The 40 Under 40 Awards celebrate the up-and-coming leaders, executives and influencers in the Dallas-Fort Worth business community and beyond, who are making a difference at their workplaces, excelling in their current roles and making valuable contributions to their organizations.

Honorees will be recognized at an awards gala and will also be featured in a special publication in May.

“Jason is most deserving of this award,” said David Harper, a member of the Haynes and Boone Board of Directors. “I have worked closely with him throughout his tenure at the firm and Jason has always been an outstanding colleague, consistently striving to provide first class service to our clients.”

Bloom is a member of Haynes and Boone’s Intellectual Property Litigation Section and heads the firm’s Copyright Practice Group. His practice focuses on copyright, trademark, trade secret, and First Amendment media disputes. Bloom is an experienced trial lawyer, and he has used his top of the line advocacy skills to represent clients at trial and on appeal in complex litigation matters and throughout the country. 

Bloom has represented clients in a variety of industries, including software, telecommunications, media, entertainment, energy, manufacturing, and real estate. His work in these areas has garnered attention from a variety of media outlets including Fox 4 News, Law 360, Forbes, Inc. Magazine, and Yahoo! Finance.

In addition to his practice, Bloom is actively involved in the legal community, most recently serving as the president of the Dallas Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, which serves the judges, attorneys, and staff practicing in the federal courts in North Texas. He also serves on the Media Relations and Publications Committees of the Dallas Bar Association and on the Copyright Committee of the International Trademark Association. Bloom regularly speaks and writes on intellectual property and media law issues, and has been featured in IP Today, Bloomberg BNA and the State Bar of Texas IP Newsletter.
