Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Dan Gold has received the I. Zesmer Young Leadership Award from the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas.
The I. Zesmer Young Leadership award is an annual award given to a young man in the Jewish community who has demonstrated personal contribution, commitment and exemplary leadership to the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas and to the highest ideals of the Jewish community. The award is named after the late Isador “Zes” Zesmer, a Dallas Jewish philanthropist who helped young people become active in the Jewish community. He had served as past president of the Young Men’s Hebrew Association.
Gold accepted the award on June 13 at the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas’s Annual Meeting.
Gold has been active in the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas since participating in the Leadership Development Group in 2008-2009. Over the past decade, he has been a leader in the Attorneys division and has served as co-chair for the past four years. In 2014, he was honored by the Cardozo Society as the Young Attorney of the Year in recognition of his outstanding service, commitment and leadership to the Jewish and legal communities. In addition to his Federation involvement, Gold serves on the board of Levine Academy and on the regional board for the Anti-Defamation League.
In addition to being a recognized leader in his community, Gold helps clients navigate the world of complex litigation. Recognized by Chambers USA, Chambers and Partners, from 2017 through 2018, as an "excellent strategist” and “great writer," who is praised for his "very good common sense" and "problem-solving," Gold excels at strategically identifying paths to victory and then focuses tirelessly on achieving his client’s legal and business goals. His client service and results have earned the trust and gratitude of individual clients and some of the country’s most recognizable and high-profile companies.
He has particular knowledge in securities, fiduciary duty and class action litigation. Gold chairs the firm’s Securities and Shareholder Litigation Practice Group and formerly served as chair of the securities section of the Dallas Bar Association.
