Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Honors Debra Hatter as Role Model


HOUSTON – Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Debra Hatter has been recognized as a role model by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce, honoring women who are “at the top” of their game in a STEM (science, technology, engineering & math) career.

Hatter is one of 25 women honored by the organization as a role model for the next generation of women. Honorees were selected based on criteria including leadership in their respective profession, peer reviews and community service.

At Haynes and Boone, Hatter represents public and private companies, financial sponsors and underwriters in corporate finance, M&A, divestitures, joint ventures and strategic transactions in a diverse range of industries such as technology and energy. She also regularly provides advice and counseling on commercial matters, compliance, joint development agreements, and the transfer and acquisition of technology assets including websites, domain names, social networking accounts and other online marketing tools.

Hatter has nearly 20 years of legal experience and received her juris doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science.

In addition to her work at the firm, Hatter serves on the advisory board of the Youth about Business M&A Camp and is an affiliate member of the National Association of Investment Companies. She is also the former director of the Houston Area Urban League.

Hatter will be honored at the Women in the Fast Lane Luncheon & Style Show in Houston, Texas on Sept. 18.
