Haynes and Boone Advises American Airlines in Capacity Purchase Agreements


DALLAS – Three Haynes and Boone, LLP attorneys represented American Airlines, Inc. in negotiation of Capacity Purchase Agreements (CPAs) between American Airlines, Trans States Airlines and another carrier. 

Dallas Partner Jan Sharry and Associates Sakina Rasheed and Darius Dills assisted American in negotiating the Trans States Airlines CPA, a deal with Trans States Airlines to handle various flights with regional aircraft on behalf of American. 

According to the Trans States Airlines release, the airline will operate at least 15 Embraer E145 aircraft under the American Eagle brand with deliveries slated to begin in April 2015 at a rate of two per month until all of the aircraft are in place. 

In 2013, Haynes and Boone lawyers also advised American Airlines in a 12-year CPA with Republic Airways Holdings, the first large regional jet service deal of its kind in American’s history.
