Haynes and Boone Announces Herbert A. Glaser as Partner in its Washington, D.C. Office

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Haynes and Boone LLP, a full-service law firm, announced that Herbert A. Glaser, has joined its Washington, D.C. office as Partner.  Mr. Glaser is the latest addition to the Firm’s rapidly expanding Financial Transactions Practice Group.

In his more than 15 years of legal experience, Mr. Glaser has focused his practice on domestic and international finance law. He has led international business transactions in numerous countries in Africa, Asia, Western and Eastern Europe and Latin America. However, through his work as general counsel at companies such as OptiGlobe Communications, Inc., Edison Mission Energy and Overseas Private Investment Corporation, he broadened his areas of expertise to include a full spectrum of business transactions and litigation worldwide.

Prior to joining Haynes and Boone, Mr. Glaser was Executive Vice President and General Counsel for OptiGlobe Communications, Inc., the leading Internet infrastructure company in Latin America. While there, he served clients such as Ford, the Globo Group, John Deere, Deutsche Bank, ENDESA, Yahoo!, Petrobras and the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange.

Mr. Glaser is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. He is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Glaser earned his Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude in economics from Kalamazoo College. While there, he served as director of the school’s International Economics Debate Team. He earned his Juris Doctor cum laud from University of Michigan Law School. Mr. Glaser is fluent in French.
