HOUSTON— Haynes and Boone, LLP, a full-service law firm, announces the appointment of Andrew Fono, an attorney with the firm, to partner in its specialized litigation and environmental practice groups. Mr. Fono has been with the firm since 1998.
Since joining Haynes and Boone, Mr. Fono has focused his practice on environmental litigation, regulatory and transactional matters. He has spoken and written on a wide variety of environmental and administrative law topics and is co-author of West Publishing’s “Federal Environmental Law – The User’s Guide.”
Mr. Fono is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation and the Houston Bar Association. He received his B.A. from Texas Tech University where he won the Will Rogers Award as a co-founder and chairman of the Texas Tech Student Endowment Fund, and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law where he was a Langdell Scholar and managing editor of Currents, the International Trade Law Journal. Mr. Fono is a major in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves, and was chief environmental lawyer for Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune.
