AUSTIN— Haynes and Boone LLP, a full-service law firm, announces the appointment of Mary Simmons Mendoza, an attorney with the firm, to partner in its environmental practice.  Ms. Mendoza has been with the firm since 1998.
Since joining Haynes and Boone, Ms. Mendoza has focused her practice on environmental and administrative law. Her work with the firm includes representing clients in contested case hearings, enforcement matters, appeals of agency decisions, toxic tort litigation and hazardous and solid waste cleanups. She also actively counsels clients on regulatory issues as well as environmental issues related to real estate and corporate transactions.
Ms. Mendoza is an active member of the State Bar of Texas where she serves as secretary of the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section. She earned her B.S. with highest honors in civil engineering from the University of Texas and her J.D. with honors from the University of Texas Law School where she was a member of the Order of the Coif. Ms. Mendoza also volunteers as a member of the advisory board for Any Baby Can, an Austin-area nonprofit organization.
