Haynes and Boone Named One of the Best-Branded in BTI Study of Top U.S. Law Firms


The BTI Consulting Group has named Haynes and Boone, LLP one of the nation’s best-branded law firms, selecting it as an Honor Roll member in three categories.

Researchers said clients recommended the firm first to peers and colleagues without prompting, short-listed it to be considered first for hiring when new assignments arise, and as a safe choice for the most complex and high-risk work.

The results included in The BTI Brand Elite: Client Perceptions of the Best-Branded Law Firms 2014, a new study based on direct feedback from more than 300 individual interviews with in-house counsel at the world’s largest organizations. It is the second year in a row that the firm has been included in the best-branded results.

“It is always gratifying when our clients refer work to us and keep Haynes and Boone top-of-mind for new projects,” said Terry Conner, Haynes and Boone managing partner. “Those things only happen when we truly place the client first during our engagements, a goal we are constantly emphasizing with all our lawyers.”

BTI drew on 13 years of data to develop the framework for measuring and analyzing the market presence and brand imprint of law firms. BTI measures unaided market awareness along nine key dimensions. Each of these contributes to how clients perceive law firms’ performance in the three critical success factors defining brand and influencing hiring and selection.
