Haynes and Boone Named Top Litigation Practice in 2011 BTI Litigation Outlook Report

DALLAS – Haynes and Boone, LLP has been named one of 32 law firms nationally that clients would least like to see on the opposite side of the table in corporate litigation, according to the BTI Litigation Outlook 2011 report.

The designation as a BTI “Awesome Opponent” was based on direct feedback from more than 300 general counsel, practice leaders and in-house litigation counsel.

BTI officials told Law360.com that the key attribute of the most feared firms is tenacity – latching onto a case with intensity and refusing to let go until they get what they want. The most feared firms are not only relentless in seeking documents and making other requests that sap the resources of opponents, but they are also well-suited to respond to such requests made by opponents, BTI officials said.

“For whatever reason, many people are surprised that our litigation practice is so large, deep and active,” said Litigation Section Co-Chair David Harper. “This BTI designation acknowledges that we are highly regarded nationally by both our opponents and our clients.”

In addition to the designation of most feared firms, the BTI Litigation Outlook Report 2011 explores trends in services driving the $21.1 billion U.S. litigation market. More information about the report can be found at www.btilitigationoutlook.com.
