Haynes and Boone Partner Appointed to the Board of Directors of the Nationally-Recognized Women’s Foodservice Forum

DALLAS – Haynes and Boone, LLP is pleased to announce that Joyce Mazero, partner and practice group leader of the Firm’s Franchise and Distribution Practice Group, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Women’s Foodservice Forum (WFF) and her two-year term will officially begin on April 5, 2005.

The Women’s Foodservice Forum, created in 1989 by a group of women in the foodservice industry who saw a need to make sure women had the chances and resources to succeed, engages in the foodservice industry to develop leadership talent and ensure career advancement for executive women.

“I have admired the work of the Women’s Foodservice Forum for years , and I am honored to have been selected to serve on its Board alongside tremendously successful and motivating female food executives ,” said Joyce Mazero.  “ I am particularly looking forward to working on projects that will further assist female foodservice professionals in expanding their leadership opportunities here and internationally.”

Ms. Mazero is currently Chair of the Women’s Franchise & Distribution Forum, a non-profit educational and networking organization for businesswomen  and a member of the International Franchise Association ‘s Women’s Franchise Committee Advisory Board , having chaired its  WFC Leadership Conferences for 2000-2003 and is co- Chair of the Women’s Foodservice Forum International Committee.    She is also on the Board of Directors of Promise House (2000-present), served as Editorial Advisor, Franchising for Dummies (2001) and currently serves as Managing Editor of “Franchising - The World View” for Franchise UPDATE magazine.  She was recognized as a Texas Superlawyer in 2003 and 2004  and one of the Top 50 Female Super Lawyers by Texas Monthly for 2003.  Ms. Mazero was also listed in D Magazine as one of the best lawyers in Dallas, 2001, 2002 , 2003 and 2004 and listed as one of the top 100 franchise lawyers by Franchise Times Magazine, 2004.  In addition, she is the winner of the 2003 IFA Women’s Franchise Committee Crystal Compass award.   She continues to be listed in An International Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers, published by Law Business Research and The Best Lawyers in America (Woodward/White, Inc.).  She has a rating of “av” (highest ratings in professional competence and ethical integrity) by Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
