Haynes and Boone Partners, Taylor Wilson and Albert Tan, Moderated Panels at PERE Summit: Asia 2014


HONG KONG – Haynes and Boone, LLP Partners Albert C. Tan and Taylor H. Wilson each moderated a panel at the recent 7th Annual PERE Summit: Asia 2014, a leading real estate private equity conference in Asia.

Albert C. Tan, co-chair of Haynes and Boone’s Global Capital Commitment Subscription Financing Group and co-chair of the international practice, moderated a panel, with senior executives from Gaw Capital, Ping An Trust, Colliers International, and KPMG, on “Asian Capital-Is the Outbound Story a Permanent Trend” that focused on providing insight on where Asian institutional investors want to put their money to work in Europe and Americas and what forces are motivating Asian institutional investors investment strategies in Europe and Americas.

Taylor H. Wilson, chair of the firm’s Investment Funds Practice Group, served as a moderator for the event’s “Defining Core Real Estate” panel, with senior executives from Invesco Real Estate Asia, M&G Real Estate Asia and Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investments, which focused on how private real estate investment managers are defining core real estate in the current market and how close that definition is to reality.

At Haynes and Boone, Tan regularly represents investment and commercial banks in connection with bank financings for private equity funds in the Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America. Wilson, meanwhile, advises investment advisers for both domestic and offshore funds on fund formation and investment management activities.

The PERE Summit: Asia 2014 had more than 430 investment professionals and institutional investors in attendance from the Asia Pacific region and around the globe.
