Haynes and Boone Ranked in 2010 Chambers Latin America

DALLAS – For the second straight year, Chambers Latin America researchers have recognized the Haynes and Boone International Practice for its handling of high-profile mergers and acquisition matters across Latin America. Chambers Latin America 2010 also singled out Haynes and Boone’s Mexico-based attorneys for their prominent legal work in the Mexican corporate/M&A, banking and finance, and real estate sectors.

Haynes and Boone again was the only Texas-based firm cited among the leading international law firms conducting high-end, Latin America-wide mergers and acquisitions and general corporate work for major clients. Larry B. Pascal, chair of the firm’s Americas Practice Group, was singled out as a leading practitioner who “has the breadth and depth to handle large deals at a sophisticated level.”

In Mexico banking and finance, as well as corporate/M&A, Mexico City Partner Antonio Franck of the Mexico City office was named a “notable practitioner.” Fellow Mexico City Partner Luis Moreno Treviño was similarly designated for Mexican real estate work.

“It is gratifying to see the growth of our regional practice recognized by such a prestigious directory,” Mr. Pascal said. “Haynes and Boone attorneys are increasingly being deployed to handle more and more complex legal matters throughout Latin America, and this designation recognizes that accomplishment.”

Chambers Latin America ranks law firms and attorneys based on in-depth interviews conducted with sector peers and firm clients. Ratings are based on legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial awareness, diligence, and commitment to the client. More than 40 researchers spent six months spanning Latin America to prepare the 2010 version of this respected directory.

The Haynes and Boone Latin American practice has been recognized as one of the leaders in Latin America by numerous business organizations and publications, including Latin Lawyer and Chambers USA. The firm has lawyers licensed in Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Spain and Peru working in its offices.

As part of its Latin American practice, Haynes and Boone maintains one of the largest Mexico City practices of any U.S. law firm. Its approximately 20 Mexico City-based attorneys have a wide range of experience in handling the legal aspects of international business, foreign investment, trade regulation, project finance, infrastructure, litigation and arbitration.

Haynes and Boone, LLP is an international corporate law firm with offices in Texas, New York, California, Washington, D.C., Mexico City and Moscow, providing a full spectrum of legal services. With almost 550 attorneys, Haynes and Boone is ranked among the largest law firms in the nation by The National Law Journal.
