Haynes and Boone’s Bill Greenhill Named a Tarrant County Power Attorney


FORT WORTH – Haynes and Boone, LLP Of Counsel Bill Greenhill has been named a 2010 Power Attorney by the Fort Worth Business Press.

The annual award recognizes 12 of Tarrant County’s most preeminent lawyers. Mr. Greenhill was selected based on his professional achievements, success and peer recognition.

In his practice at Haynes and Boone, Mr. Greenhill advises corporate decision-makers, in-house counsel and financial industry executives on structuring complicated corporate and financial transactions to promote their business objectives. His clients include established public and private corporations involved in debt, equity and merger and acquisition transactions; financial institutions involved in structured financings; start-up companies preparing IPO or purchase strategies; and businesses, including underwriters, borrowers, collateral agents and trustees, involved in sophisticated taxable and tax exempt municipal bond transactions. Mr. Greenhill has also assisted large corporations, start-ups and emerging businesses in navigating the securities/capital markets and the complex laws that regulate them.

Mr. Greenhill is also a member of Haynes and Boone’s recently-formed public law practice, an outgrowth of the firm’s long-held commitment to civic participation and public service. Mr. Greenhill’s experience in public and private sectors gives him the insight into the legal and political challenges facing governmental entities and the private companies that do business with them. The Public Law Practice’s private entity clients are engaged in infrastructure projects and litigation from Hidalgo to Harris County. The firm represents public and private entities in commercial litigation, public sector disputes, infrastructure projects and as general counsel.

Mr. Greenhill is an active member of the Tarrant County community. In May, Mr. Greenhill was elected to a six-year term on the Tarrant County College (TCC) Board of Directors, representing the college’s District Four. The district encompasses much of West Fort Worth and the cities of Westworth Village, White Settlement, Lake Worth, Azle, Haslet, Watauga, Haltom City, North Richland Hills and a large part of Keller.

Mr. Greenhill has also served as a member of the Fort Worth Zoning Commission and the Fort Worth Zoning Board of Adjustments and currently serves on the Development Advisory Committee to the city manager of Fort Worth. He serves on the board of directors of Community Hospice of Texas, The WARM Place, and the Tarrant County College Foundation.
