Haynes and Boone’s New York Office Relocates, Continues Growth

NEW YORK – Haynes and Boone, LLP has finalized a new lease for about 35,000 square feet at 1221 Sixth Ave. between West 48th and West 49th streets. The firm plans to relocate its New York office to the larger space by July in order to accommodate continued expansion and the addition of new lawyers.

After outgrowing its existing space at the Citigroup Center, Haynes and Boone opted to sublease in the 26th floor of the McGraw-Hill building from another law firm. The short-term sublease will provide flexibility to Haynes and Boone as the office anticipates continued steady growth and the need for more space in the near future.

“Economically and logistically, a short-term lease makes the most sense for us at this time,” said Ken Bezozo, administrative partner in Haynes and Boone’s New York Office. “The firm now has 32 lawyers in the New York office and we expect to see that number top 50 attorneys in the next couple of years. Rather than warehousing space for the future, a short-term sublease will allow us to continue with our expansion planned expansion in both headcount and capabilities and reevaluate our office needs again at the end of the lease term.”

As part of its growth strategy, Haynes and Boone New York has added significant depth to its bankruptcy practice and continues to expand its corporate/securities, litigation and finance practices.

Haynes and Boone, LLP is an international corporate law firm with offices in Texas, New York, Washington, D.C., Mexico City and Moscow, providing a full spectrum of legal services.
