Patent Lawyer Kenyon Jenckes Brings Corporate and Intellectual Property Experience to Haynes and Boone Orange County Office

Haynes and Boone, LLP proudly welcomes seasoned patent lawyer Kenyon Jenckes, who adds his 20 years of experience in corporate and law firm environments to the growing capabilities of the firm’s Orange County office.

Jenckes was previously with Qualcomm Inc., where he spent more than 10 years as a senior patent counsel supervising as well as preparing and prosecuting patent applications over a wide range of technologies and managing portfolios nationally and internationally. Prior to that, he practiced law for more than eight years in the California law firm environment.

“Kenyon made his mark in private business by deftly managing large patent portfolios with a focus on tailoring patent strategy globally based on business value,” said Greg Michelson, the firm’s Orange County administrative partner. “As we continue to grow our IP capabilities, Kenyon’s background will benefit a broad swath of our clients in need of strategic advice on complex patent matters. We are so pleased he is joining our firm.”

Jenckes has amassed broad technical experience handling patents involving WCDMA, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth ASIC, circuit design, semiconductor processing, and system on chip architectures. He has also worked with RF circuits, antennas, MIMO, and other multi-antenna arrays, computer software and business methods, and medical devices.

In November 2014, Haynes and Boone’s Orange County office outgrew its office space and relocated to Plaza Tower in Costa Mesa, demonstrating the firm’s continued growth and demand for services in California and around the world. Catering to the needs of California’s premier technology industries and taking advantage of the West Coast’s global access, Haynes and Boone’s Orange County office is a full-service office with vibrant practices in intellectual property, technology transactions, corporate law, commercial and IP litigation, appellate, labor and employment, and real estate law.

Haynes and Boone’s California offices are also backed by the full resources of the firm, with multidisciplinary teams available to address the opportunities California offers for clients in a wide range of legal specialties.

Orange County is first and foremost a center of industry. The thriving economic community is home to a wide array of businesses, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to emerging technology ventures. The firm’s presence heightens Haynes and Boone’s coast-to-coast capabilities while offering clients, particularly those doing business in California and Asia, the benefits of an expanded geographic base.
