Liberato Elected To South Texas College Of Law Executive Committee

HOUSTON – The South Texas College of Law board of directors elected Haynes and Boone LLP partner Lynne Liberato to the school’s Executive Committee Dec. 1, adding to her recently acquired role as chair of the school’s Fund Development Committee.

Ms. Liberato, a board member for the college since December, 2003, will help lead fundraising efforts for the school. She already serves as a member of the executive committee for the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast.

A former president of the State Bar of Texas and Houston Bar Association, Ms. Liberato earned a J.D. from the South Texas College of Law in 1980.  She has been honored as a Top 100 Texas Super Lawyer, Top 50 Female Lawyer, Top 100 Houston Super Lawyer and Appellate Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly (2003 and 2004) and Top Notch Appellate Lawyer by Texas Lawyer (2002).

Ms. Liberato was recently named 2004 Woman of the Year by the United Way of the Texas Gulf Coast to recognize her efforts in charitable fundraising for the group.
