Mary Mendoza Moves Up to State Bar Post

AUSTIN – Mary Mendoza, a Partner in the Austin office of Haynes and Boone, LLP, has become chair of the State Bar of Texas Environmental and Natural Resources Law Section.

Ms. Mendoza succeeds Charles Jordan of Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, and will serve for one year as leader of the bar organization charged with promoting understanding of the laws governing environmental issues.

Among the section’s duties are the administration of the newly established Professor Corwin J. Johnson Memorial Internship for law students with an interest in environmental law, publication of the State Bar of Texas Environmental Law Journal, and working with the state’s law schools by sponsoring law seminars and other internships.

Ms. Mendoza concentrates her practice in the areas of environmental and administrative law, representing clients in toxic tort litigation, hazardous and solid waste cleanups, contested case hearings, enforcement matters, and appeals of agency decisions.
