Haynes and Boone Partner Larry Pascal Assumes Chairmanship of World Services Group

Partner Larry B. Pascal, chair of the Haynes and Boone, LLP Americas Practice Group and co-chair of its International Practice, has begun a one-year term as chairman of the World Services Group (WSG), one of the largest international networks of law firms in the world.

Pascal assumed office today during the WSG's annual meeting in Cape Town, South Africa after serving a year as chairman-elect. In 2012, the organization selected Pascal as its “Member of the Year.”  He previously served as the chair of the North American region for WSG.

Pascal has more than 20 years of experience in advising companies on their cross-border Latin American and Spanish projects, counseling clients on transactions throughout Latin American, the Caribbean and other parts of the world.  He is particularly active in the transportation, tourism and hospitality, and energy sectors.

He has established himself as a leader in the international bar community, serving as the chair of the International Section of the State Bar of Texas and leading a successful campaign for the adoption of the ABA Model Rule on Foreign Legal Consultants in Texas. He later received his appointment as the chair of the Task Force on International Law Practice from the Texas Supreme Court, and guided that prestigious body on a unanimous set of proposed reforms for modernizing international law practice in Texas, which was successfully tendered to and adopted by the Texas Supreme Court.

Pascal has been recognized by respected market watchers such as Chambers and Partners, Latin Lawyer, and Latinvex  for multiple years, particularly in the area of area of mergers and acquisitions and projects.
