Texas Young Lawyers Association Elects Greg Jackson Chair-Elect of Board

FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Haynes and Boone, LLP is pleased to announce that Greg Jackson, an associate in the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group, has been elected Chair-Elect of the Board of Directors of the Texas Young Lawyers Association. Mr. Jackson is the current TYLA vice president, and has also served as treasurer and director. He has served as an officer in the organization since 1998.

The Texas Young Lawyers Association is a department of the State Bar of Texas. All licensed Texas Lawyers who are 36 years old or younger or who are in their first three years of licensure, are automatically members of TYLA. The purpose of TYLA is to facilitate the administration of justice, foster respect for the law, and advance the role of the legal profession in serving the public. Mr. Jackson currently serves as the executive committee advisor to the Law Related Education, Law Student Outreach, and Marketing committees.

Mr. Jackson is an associate in the Business Litigation Practice Group of Haynes and Boone. He has tried over twenty cases to a jury in Texas Courts. He has represented a wide variety of clients, including physicians, hospitals, businesses and individuals in civil litigation matters. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Young Lawyers Association, College of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Bar Foundation, Fort Worth–Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association, American Bar Association and Texas Association of Defense Counsel. He earned his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law in 1995 and his B.B.A. from Baylor University in 1994.
