A team of Haynes and Boone, LLP lawyers from two offices advised Houston-based Trademark Construction in its recent purchase by HITT Contracting Inc., a national leader in general contracting headquartered in Washington, D.C.
The acquisition of Trademark, a full-service commercial contractor with more than 30 years of experience, will strengthen HITT’s position in Texas and expand the firm’s ability to service clients in key sectors such as corporate interiors, healthcare, technology and commercial base building construction.
The new 55-employee Houston office will operate as Trademark HITT.
Houston Partner Ricardo Garcia-Moreno led the Trademark deal team, which included Houston Counsels Marilyn Doolittle and John Menke, Houston Associates Meghaan McElroy Madriz and Winnie Nwapa, and Dallas Partners Michael Threet and Gavin George.
Apex Partners served as Trademark’s financial advisor. Jim McCoy, managing director at Apex and head of the firm's Houston office, led the transaction. The deal team was comprised of McCoy and Apex Directors Barry Harbour, Luis Zuniga and Mike Wilson.
