Haynes and Boone served as lead counsel for defendant Wegmans Food Markets in a patent infringement action involving an Internet-based nutritional program. The case was brought in the Eastern District of Texas, long known as a very friendly form for patent plaintiffs. We successfully moved to have the case transferred to Virginia, and then with counsel for other defendants, convinced the court to dismiss the case under Section 101 of the Patent Statute.
