Represented TGI Friday’s in litigation against another joint venture partner, CBIF, where TGI Friday’s asserted breach of fiduciary duty and sought judicial dissolution of the joint venture in a dispute involving the Friday’s restaurants at the DFW Airport. After a six-week trial, a Texas jury found in favor of TGI Friday’s and its aligned partners in the dispute. The jury awarded Friday’s and the aligned joint venture partners more than $1.7 million in fees and damages. The judge also awarded Friday’s an additional $2.8 million in attorney fees.
