Ricardo Garcia-Moreno, Larry Pascal Named Latinvex Top 100 Lawyers

Haynes and Boone, LLP Partners Ricardo Garcia-Moreno and Larry Pascal have been recognized in Latinvex’s Top 100 list of lawyers handling legal business in Latin America.

The editorial and research staffs of Latinvex, the Miami-based publisher of news and analysis on Latin America business, choose lawyers based on a combination of factors, including their recent track records on major deals, the prominence of their firms in Latin America and rankings by third parties such as Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and Thomson Reuters.

Garcia-Moreno serves as the Administrative Partner of the firm’s Houston office. He practices corporate law with an emphasis on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, energy, securities law compliance and corporate governance. He has more than 24 years of experience representing U.S., European and Latin American clients in domestic and international transactions involving multi-jurisdictional mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; investments; joint ventures; capital markets transactions, including public, Rule 144A and private placements of equity and debt securities; and acting as "outside general counsel" to public and private companies. Most recently, Garcia-Moreno’s representation of Royal Dutch Shell plc in connection with the sale of Shell’s downstream business in Argentina. He has been named a finalist for the 2018 Latin Lawyer Transaction of the Year award in the Private Mergers and Acquisitions category.

The Global M&A Network recently named Haynes and Boone a winner of the Global Divestiture & Carve-Out Deal of the year for the sale of the Shell business to Raízen Combustiveis S.A.

Pascal serves as the chair of the Americas Practice Group and co-chair of the International Practice Group for the firm, and has more than 25 years of experience in advising companies on their cross-border Latin American and Spanish projects, advising clients on transactions, work-outs, and disputes throughout Latin American and the Caribbean (as well as other parts of the world), and has traveled extensively throughout the region. He historically has been very active in a variety of markets, including but not limited to Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Costa Rica. He has also worked extensively on numerous multiple jurisdiction projects, particularly in the Americas and Europe.
