What does the future hold for U.S. health coverage and how might it affect your business? Join us for a timely walkthrough of the current efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act (ACA). We will cut through the media buzz and discuss the newly proposed American Health Care Act (AHCA) and how it would affect employer-sponsored medical coverage as well as additional proposed reforms that are not part of the current AHCA. In addition, we will dispel AHCA myths and address issues the AHCA leaves unanswered.

Who should attend?

This presentation is ideal for company leaders, benefits directors, managers engaged in the design, implementation and administration of employer medical coverage, financial officers and other individuals responsible for setting and managing their company's health care budget, and internal legal counsel whose responsibilities include their employer's medical plan. We encourage you to share this invitation within your company.

Topics to be covered include:

  • An overview of the challenges to repeal and replace the ACA, in whole or in part;
  • Employer action items in response to likely changes under new law(s) and how Haynes and Boone can help;
  • A walkthrough of the AHCA and how it impacts employer-sponsored medical coverage, including potential AHCA revisions or alternative legislation by the House or Senate; and
  • Additional proposed healthcare reforms that may occur at a later date.
