Hankins v. Harris, 500 S.W.3d 140 (Tex. App.—Houston [1st Dist.] 2016, pet. denied)

Persuaded the Houston First Court of Appeals to unanimously affirm trial court’s judgment in suit arising out of a decades-long residential property dispute. The court of appeals concluded that the Texas Constitution’s homestead protection rendered unconstitutional and void the opposition’s attempt to impose a lien on and take half of the property.
