Haynes Boone Partner Suzanne Murray spoke with Law360 about the recently appointed head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency region that includes Texas, Oklahoma and other energy-producing states

Ken McQueen, who will serve as regional administrator for EPA's Region 6, said in an interview that his industry background gives him important insight into business matters. He said he'll work to encourage environmental protection and that his background in energy and agriculture will "help supplement the region's strong relationship with these two industries."
Suzanne Murray, a partner at Haynes Boone and former regional counsel for EPA's Region 6, said McQueen's appointment brings on someone with knowledge of both the private and public sectors.
"I would anticipate that he is going to come in and care about fostering the relationships that Region 6 has with their states, with industry and with environmental groups," she said.
