Michael represents clients on a range of critical matters, including noncompete agreements and disputes involving Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Anne Johnson Named Litigator of Week in AmLaw Litigation Daily The AmLaw Litigation Daily named Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Anne Johnson “Litigator of the Week” for leading a Haynes and Boone appellate team that persuaded an appellate court to overturn a $110 million fraud verdict against BBVA Compass. “Anne Johnson and her team persuaded a Texas appellate court to take the extraordinary step of tossing a jury verdict after the court found that the borrower plaintiff couldn’t establish the basic elements of his fraud claim,” the publication stated.

Haynes and Boone Represents Leading Financial Institution in $2.5 Billion Credit Facility Haynes and Boone, LLP Houston Partner Brent Shultz led a cross-office team that represented the lead arranger and administrative agent in a fully underwritten $2.5 billion term loan to ONE Gas, Inc. The transaction was completed Feb. 22, 2021 and fully documented on a highly expedited basis. The proceeds of the loan will be available to ONE Gas for natural gas purchases as a result of the 2021 winter weather events and the repayment of indebtedness.
