April 19, 2018

The Daily Journal recognized Haynes and Boone, LLP Partner Kenneth Parker as a Top Intellectual Property Lawyer in California for 2018.

In featuring Parker among the state’s leading IP lawyers, the Daily Journal cited his work in leading a Haynes and Boone team that secured a rare defense summary judgment in a trademark infringement case. The victory on behalf of client Phoenix Fibers Inc. also was featured in the Daily Journal’s listing of the largest and most significant wins in California for 2017. The Haynes and Boone team, along with William C. O’Neill of Ross Wersching & Wolcott LLP, obtained a summary judgment on all claims that a competitor had brought against Phoenix Fibers, a denim recycler.

The Daily Journal also noted Parker’s role on the Haynes and Boone team handling patent issues for Cisco Systems Inc. and his representation of client Polymer Technology Systems Inc. before the U.S. District Court, International Trade Commission and U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

Parker told the Daily Journal he especially likes working with teams to achieve winning results for clients: “It’s nice to be personally recognized, but I really like the team that we have,” Parker said.

A former chair of Haynes and Boone's Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group, Parker handles cases across a range of industries, from semiconductors and medical devices to consumer products and real estate. In addition to litigating in California, he handles patent, trademark, copyright and trade secrets cases in courts across the U.S.
