Cyber threats continue to evolve, and a recent Delaware Supreme Court decision in Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. of America et al. v. Blackbaud Inc. highlights the ongoing challenges insurers and policyholders face following large-scale cyber incidents. Haynes Boone Partner Peter Halprin spoke with Law360 about what the ruling signals for the future of cyber risk.

Though the Blackbaud case was decided on technical procedural grounds, it highlights the persistence of cyber threats, the resilience of bad actors and weak links in the chain of business vendors, said policyholder attorney Peter Halprin of Haynes Boone.
"The cyber threat is just ever-present, and every time we feel like, or it seems like there's headway being made, every so often there's just a wave, and this demonstrates that," he told Law360.
