Haynes Boone Partner Jeffrey Wolfson recently spoke with Law360 on the increase in patent agent hires at Haynes Boone and across the industry, as well as the reason for the uptick, as the number of new patent agent registrations surpassed new patent lawyer registrations for the first time in recent years.

"We are looking to hire more patent agents … because that's what a lot of our clients are looking for at this point," Jeffrey A. Wolfson, chair of the patent prosecution group at Haynes Boone, told Law360.
Wolfson, like many lawyers Law360 spoke with, isn't all that concerned about a shrinking workforce.
